Blue Lagoon, Comino

Tourists swimming and suntanning!

Been a long while, I have been rather busy and hence didn't have the time to post any new entry. The picture above was taken by my iphone during my trip to Malta. We spent about 6 days there, exploring the beautiful Blue Lagoon, Comino as seen above, visiting Gozo, Valletta, Mdina and many other places. New friendship was created. Met a new Maltese friend on the plane.. Anna. We met Anna and her sister at the fish market. They were so nice, and spent their Sunday taking us out to visit beautiful sightseeing places.. I wish I could have time to post all the pics up.

It's Paradise in Blue Lagoon, Comino!
The trip brings us new insights to life.. I am often unhappy with myself.. I appreciate things and people around me but often enough I felt lost and take things for granted. At times I failed to see how much love, people around me are giving to me. I'm still learning to give my loved ones the best of me.. by caring more and loving more.

Be contented with your life, as everyday is a blessing.. and in order to be happy, it's better to forgive & forget unhappy things.

Experiencing different cultures and meeting new people in places we have never been to, brings back fond memories. Memories that will remain in my mind forever.. :) Hope to post more stuff soon!

Happy Vesak Day!

Friday was rather eventful for me, took half day morning to go get my jab. Met my hubby for lunch in Orchard. Nice of him, waking up earlier than his normal times just to have lunch with me. I have put on weight lately, 2.5kg heavier than usual. Must be the heavy eating and yummy food that I've been eating.

I probably won't get the chance to have lunch at Tatsuya at Goodwood Park Hotel, unless I take the day off from work. This is one of our fave restaurants without a doubt. Fish is fresh and their lunch sets are affordable and yummy.

Pics taken from my Iphone,

That's how their sashimi bento looks like, sashimi with a bed of rice with bits of tamago, tempura, side salad with miso soup and chawanmushi, ending with 3 pieces of fruits.. Perfecto!

Love the fresh sashimi, though each slice seems to get smaller these days..

After lunch, headed back to work. Guess, it wasn't really my day. My laptop's internet was down for about 3 hours. Can't get to do much for the day, but eventually I decided to take work home over the weekend.

Watched the Avengers with my family at 10.45pm.. I am starting to love Super heroes.. haha it was a nice movie. The boys did not fall asleep eventhough it was past their sleeping hours.. yawning away but they managed to stay awake and they enjoyed the movie.

We went for supper after the movie.. not long after, it started raining heavily with lightning and thunder. It reminded me of Thor in the movie.. with all the flashes of lightning and thunder. Visibility on the roads was super low, cars had to turn on their hazard lights to drive more safely. It was rather scary driving home. Glad that we made it home safely.

Will be visiting my cousin's Baby first month and will visit the temples, as it's Vesak Day today!

Happy Vesak Day, folks!!

That's all for now. Cheers

May Day.. Labour Day...

It's been four months since I last posted anything. Didn't do any traveling too. Time just passed swiftly like that, before we know it, almost half a year will pass..

However, will look forward to the next trip in May which is about 3 weeks from now. Hopefully to have another unique and safe travel experience.

For now, I decide to post some pics... but hmmm, I have so many travel and food pics, somehow leads me to wonder.. which pics to start off first?

Tada!!!

Our fave seafood from La Paradeta, Barcelona.

The freshest catch from the sea... you just buy your seafood and tell them what style of cooking you would like them to cook your seafood.

Seafood Galore..!!

I have visited Barcelona four times, never fail to visit this place for their wonderful seafood. All thanks to our friends, Leo & Danny for introducing us to this place.

A restaurant near La Sagrada Familia.. at the back alley. This place is indeed a gem. Patronized mainly by locals. One of the best seafood places ever! Thumbs up!

Cooked crabs for as low as 6 euros..

Oysters that look so tempting.

Cooked clams.. with olive oil and herbs.. absolutely tasty!

The mussels are really fresh and yummy.. cooked in tomato base sauce.

Alyssa & her bf, David

Prawns & grilled fresh tuna, simple cooked with olive oil and herbs..

Here comes the lobsters!!!  Two for 40 euros, I think

Our fave... I know I probably won't eat lobsters in Singapore cos' they are overpriced. But the seafood here is pretty affordable.

Me & B, my dearest...

My First Blog Post

Been contemplating on starting a travel blog for a while, that did not materialize for awhile. Since today is the 1st Jan 2012, thought I would start something new. Something which I have been putting off for awhile.

Coming out with a blog name was really difficult, most of the names which I wanted to use, were taken up. Irony part, these blogs were no longer updated by their owners. Are blogs unpopular these days?

I'm turning 31 this year, I love traveling and looking for good food whenever I travel. I am quite a foodie.. picky in fact. The food may not be expensive but as long as it tastes good, I'm happy :)

I have a friend who mentioned to me before. I tend to compare and not really appreciate things around me when I had so much good happening around me. Appreciate my hubby who has been with me for 12 years, during this period, bringing me around the world whenever he travels. Being a photo enthusiast, I have thousands of my traveling pics.. which I will slowly post on my blog over time.
